Lemon Drizzle Cake

Tonight after school, Tuesday 6th November, I made a Lemon Drizzle Cake. Me,my mum,dad and my sister had some, they all said it tasted nice.I am going to take a couple of slices of it to my teachers to try but only for 3 or 4 because I will have had to have made tuns of cakes to make all of the teachers ones.

The Recipe is below and is care of Mary Berry.

LEMON DRIZZLE

        Cake Ingredients

                                           1.5 Large Eggs
                                          85g Self Raising Flour
                                        85g Caster Sugar
                                         85g Softened Butter
                                      3/4 Baking Powder
                                   1/2 A zest of a lemon

The over all results which should look like mine, but don't worry if they don't, practise makes perfect as they all know.

My Kitchen Aid which I use to mix all my ingredients together.

Drizzle Ingredients

56g of Granulated Sugar
1/2 of a lemon juice

Method

1: Preheat your oven 180 fan 160
2:Put all the cake ingredients together well.
3:Prepare your tin and grease well in a 1lb loaf tin.
4:Put in the oven, the oven will be hot SO GET AN ADULT IF NEED BE.
5:Bake for 35 minutes.
6: In the mean time make the drizzle, by mixing the drizzle ingredients together well. They will go thick over time so give a good mix before putting over but wait 5 minutes before doing that.
7: Then wait another 5 to 6 mins before cutting and tucking in.

I need to make a gluten free cake for my Aunty on Sunday 11th November so if you have a good idea please let me know.

  11. This is lovely Elijah, in fact it's very exciting. Grandad and grandma like Lemon Drizzle Cake. It's grandad's favourite. Let us know when you're making some. I have a friend who is gluten free. I have asked her for a recipe for you but I doubt it will be in time for the 11th
